Harvard Associates was the first subsidiary formed by The Harvard Group in 2015. The two founders; John Matthews and Mike Evans took their decades of experience in the Recruitment & IT Services sectors and the Start Up, Growth and Exit stages of running businesses to create Harvard Associates.
Since inception we have moved offices to our bright new airy space and now have six of us in the Team. In July of 2016 we welcomed Jonty Stevens onboard to join as Managing Director. The Harvard Group model is to start and grow businesses that can stand on their own two feet with their own Leadership Team.
The whole concept was to bring professionalism back to an industry that many have felt has lost its way. Too often as business owners outside of recruitment John & Mike would find themselves receiving unsolicited (and often irrelevant) CVs and cold calls. Recruitment has become just “Numbers Game” to many; send enough CVs and someone will bite.
Harvard breaks that mould; our client base has all come from either our own personal network or from referral and we will never cold call you nor send an unsolicited irrelevant CV!
One of the main areas we wanted to improve was candidate communication. Mike had spent many years working in IT both as a permanent employee and contractor and his biggest complaint was always communication. Harvard consultants will keep you informed throughout the process and, wherever possible, we will meet our candidates that are being put forward for interview.
